ETHICAL PRINCIPLES

  1. Conflicts of Interest: Avoid conflicting situations between your personal interests and those of the company. This includes situations where personal relationships, financial interests, or outside activities may influence your professional conduct and/or decision-making.
  2. Company Guiding Values: Foster a work environment that embodies our Christian values, treating each other with ethics, courtesy, respect, compassion, and understanding. We do not condone:

    1. Bullying: Bullying is a form of harassment and therefore not tolerated by Granistone. It is a series of inappropriate behaviors that occur repeatedly toward one or more employees, which can pose risks to health, safety, and the organizational climate. Continuous and intentional acts of physical, verbal, or virtual violence aimed at demoralizing, offending, and/or isolating an individual.

    2. Sexual Harassment: Sexual harassment is the coercion or sexually suggestive act in the workplace, where, as a rule, the perpetrator uses their superior hierarchical position or influence to obtain what they desire, against the other party's will. Harassment can be committed by individuals of any hierarchical level, as long as the sexual coercion is involved and the victim does not consent. Repeated conduct is not necessary for it to be considered sexual harassment; a single act, which can be physical, verbal, gestural, explicit, or subtle contact, is sufficient. Acts committed outside the workplace, including online, are also considered sexual harassment. Therefore, it is a criminal offense in many countries where we operate, and employees accused of such conduct, in addition to internal company sanctions such as dismissal with cause, may also face criminal charges under applicable law, including imprisonment.
    3. Violence: Any intentional act in the workplace by an employee or group of employees against others, with the objective of causing physical harm. Granistone prohibits any form of violence.
    4. Forced Labor and Human Trafficking: Granistone adheres to all applicable labor laws and regulations and does not engage in forced labor. Our approach to human trafficking is straightforward: we do not tolerate this conduct. We are committed to preventing human trafficking at every stage of our operations and supply chains.
  3. Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of all company information, including trade secrets, customer information, proprietary data, and sensitive data. This information must not be disclosed to any unauthorized person, and violators will be subject to the penalties provided for in Law No. 13,709 of August 14, 2018.
  4. Fair Treatment of Customers and Suppliers: Treat both fairly and honestly, rejecting unfair business practices such as bribery, corruption and inappropriate behavior.
  5. Use of Company Assets: Use company assets and resources in accordance with company policy. This includes vehicles, marketing equipment, IT equipment such as hardware and software, and other company assets.
  6. Environment: We are firmly committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations by adopting sustainable practices and methods that are socially responsible and financially viable. Furthermore, we seek to contribute to the development and improvement of society through social investments and actions that promote community well-being.
  7. Donations and Sponsorships: We recognize our social responsibility and are committed to supporting causes and institutions that align with our values. However, accepting, offering, or granting any donation or sponsorship that could result in undue advantage or conflict of interest is strictly prohibited. All donations and/or sponsorships must strictly follow established internal procedures, except for low-value gifts.
  8. Protecting the company's image: Unauthorized use of Granistone's name, image, logos, trademarks, and social media accounts is strictly prohibited. All resources and tools, including Granistone's corporate email, are designated as work tools and, therefore, cannot be used for personal purposes and are subject to monitoring.
